HAVING spent 15 years building up the Stable Studio in Kington into a thriving centre for teaching and displaying art, Ronald Swanwick has decided the time has come to move and, next year, he will be heading for Gloucestershire To celebrate his impending move and the success of the studio, he is having a leaving party and final exhibition on Saturday and Sunday, at which anyone who has known Ronald over the years is welcome.

A PACKED house at the Courtyard on Monday, November 5, was treated to fireworks of a more restrained variety when Dame Emma Kirkby joined the instrumental group Florilegium for a programme of Baroque music - no sudden bangs or flashes, but instead a continuous exposition of the higher skills of sensitive phrasing and alluring tone.
