On Saturday, March 10, the Community Hall in New Radnor will resound to the warm sounds of the Toot-Suite French Horn quartet. All four players, Matt Jackson, Vikki Scanlon, Fiona Bassett and Michael Gibbs are graduates of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and building successful freelance musical careers.

In a programme encompassing music from the ensemble’s own arrangements of popular classical works, from Weber and Rimsky-Korsakov to lighter works from Bernstein and Gershwin, this will be an evening of deep, rich warm sounds and a fitting finale to the season.

Mary Tolhurst speaking for Music in New Radnor says: "Four French horns on the same platform must be something of a rarity and we are delighted to welcome this graduate ensemble. Staging a student concert for the end of our season has now become a custom for MiNR and is a marvellous opportunity to see young performers on the brink of their musical careers. Students from the RWCMD are internationally renowned and many go on to great things after university."

Tickets available in advance by calling 01544 350268, and on the door on the night.
