Donald Mackenzie, the resident organist of the world famous Odeon Leicester Square, London, comes to Hereford on Sunday, December 3, to play the Allseasons Dance & Leisure, Allen Theatre organ installation!
Donald Mackenzie has been resident organist at London’s Odeon Leicester Square since 1992. He has played for most of the film premières and many Royal Film Performances, including four in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen.
Only two weeks ago Donald was playing for the premiere at the Odeon Leicester Square of Murder on the Orient Express.
Donald not only plays at the Odeon Leicester Square but travels all over the world performing at concerts in Bucharest, Belfast, San Diego, Germany and Poland and all over Great Britain to name but a few. He has also been featured on many television programmes and regularly accompanies silent films.
Allseasons Dance & Leisure are privileged to have Donald coming to play for a Christmas Concert on their Allen 3 Manual Theatre Organ on Sunday, December 3 from 2.30pm to 5pm at the Dance Studio in Friar Street.
The Allen Theatre Organ, installed in 2015, is unique - the only Black Gloss Allen Organ of its kind commissioned for this country.
