Blueberry Pie from the Starlite Campbell Band featuring Ross-born Suzy Starlite, has been nominated for best album in the 2017 European Blues Awards.

Voting is now open for one week only closing on Sunday at 2am. Supertone artists Suzy Starlite, now based on the Isle of Man, and British Blues Awards nominee Simon Campbell are humbled and doubly excited about being nominated having written, performed, recorded, engineered and produced Blueberry Pie, which they describe as a fresh taste of British blues, inspired by the the mid-late 60s electric blues with a contemporary fusion of rock and folk.

The album cover features a photograph of Suzy’s Nana Betty Higgs which was taken in Ross many years ago as part of a fun school project.

"We are hoping to include the Linton, Nozstock Hidden Valley and Hereford Blues Festivals as part of our European touring schedule next year," says Suzy. "There is always something special about playing on your home turf with the support of family and friends and Herefordshire certainly has a special place in our hearts."
