In the role that earned him an Olivier award nomination and WhatsOnStage award, Will Young reprises his critically acclaimed performance of Emcee in Rufus Norris’ production of Cabaret.
Ever since winning the inaugural series of Pop Idol in 2002, Will Young has been one of the UK’s most popular and successful music artists and holds the record for the fastest selling debut single in British chart history. Playing Sally Bowles will be musician, TV presenter and 2016 Strictly Come Dancing runner up Louise Redknapp.
Set in 1931 Berlin as the Nazis are rising to power, Cabaret focuses on the nightlife at the seedy Kit Kat Klub, and revolves around young American writer Cliff Bradshaw and his relationship with 32-year-old English cabaret performer Sally Bowles.
Since its Broadway premiere in 1966 and the famous movie version with Liza Minnelli and Joel Grey, Cabaret has won a staggering number of stage and screen awards including eight Oscars, seven BAFTAs and 13 Tonys.
Directed by National Theatre Artistic Director Rufus Norris and choreographed by Olivier Award winner Javier de Frutos, the production has enjoyed two smash hit West End runs.
