HEREFORD Indie Food has teamed up with Hay Festival to present six talks from experts in the culinary world.

The festival in Hereford takes place this August Bank Holiday weekend and the organisers are pleased to have teamed up with the international literary festival.

The talks will take place in the morning, before the festival opens in the car park behind The Burger Shop and The Bookshop in Aubrey Street, Hereford.

Dorian Kirk, from the Rule of Tum team behind the festival's organisation, said: "It has been absolutely amazing. It is such a privilege to have a company so established and well respected which wants to work with us, when we are only two years in."

The talks will be held in The Bookshop. On Saturday at 10am Adele Nozedar will talk about Foraging in Herefordshire and at 11am The Angry Chef, Anthony Warner, will unravel why people are so easily taken in by the latest food and diet fads.

On Sunday at 10am, owner of The Hardwick near Abergavenny, Stephen Terry, will talk about his early days working with Marco Pierre White and Michel Roux Jr and then at 11am, Bill Sewell from All Saints Cafe will talk about eating well.

Then on Bank Holiday Monday at 11am, Hereford nutritionist Debbie Lewis will talk about achieving a healthy diet and at 12pm, Philip Lymbery will talk about animal welfare in farming.

Included in the £10 ticket for the talks is a Method coffee, an Alex Gooch pastry and day entrance to the festival (which is £3). There will also be a book signing afterwards.

The festival opening times are 11am to 12am on Saturday and Sunday, and 12pm to 5pm on Monday.

There will be street food dining areas, craft beer and cocktail bars and a producers and makers market.

There is also live music throughout the day and on Saturday evening DJ sets from Mat Horne and Mystery Jets and on the Sunday a DJ set from Foals. Evening tickets are £12 on Saturday night and £14 on Sunday, which include day entry. To find out more go to www.herefordindiefood.com.
