Paul Spicer's English Choral Experience week returns to Dore Abbey for its 11th year, running from July 24 to 29.

The annual festival has grown out of a week of choral workshops and once again culminates in a concert in Dore Abbey on Saturday night.

A programme of talks and concerts runs alongside the choral workshops, and visitors are invited, too, to pop in during the day to listen in on a rehearsal whilst browsing the feast of visual arts in the complementary exhibition organised by the Herefordshire Guild of Craftsment.

There are evening concerts on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with the main concert on Saturday, at which Paul Spicer will direct the ECE in a performance featuring a broad range of beautiful works covering 500 centuries of choral music, including three works by John Joubert, who celebrates his 90th birthday this year.

The exhibition will include jewellery, woodturning, ceramics, glass art, paintings and more.

For further details and to book for evening concerts visit englishchoralexperience.co.uk or herefordcraftguild.org.uk for more information about the exhibition, which opens daily from July 24 to July 29, 9.30am to 6pm.
