Land artist Kate Raggett creates new earthwork at Monnow Valley Arts Centre

DURING the nine days of h.Art week, Clodock-based land artist Kate Raggett created an earthwork drawing measuring 150ft by 110ft. Kate worked by hand to rake up the sandstone from a newly ploughed field at Monnow Valley Arts Centre, before lime-washing it to make the finished piece visible.

The finished drawing can now be seen at the centre until the middle of October, on Thursday and Friday, 11am to 6pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 5pm. Outside these times it can be seen only by appointment - call the gallery on 01873 860529 for details.
