THE box office for the 2013 Abergavenny Food Festival went live on Tuesday, with the weekend’s full programme and ticket purchase now available online.
Among the highlights of this year’s event, which runs over the weekend of September 21 and 22, is a spectacular live show with CBBC’s Stefan Gates. The show promises to include edible insects, mindblowing food science and some very, very big explosions.
Elizabeth David, arguably Britain’s most influential post-war writer on food and cookery, is the subject of a special event, when writer and broadcaster Tim Hayward talks to three people who knew her - Jill Norman (her editor at Penguin / literary trustee) and Franco and Ann Taruschio (founders of The Walnut Tree) and Franco demonstrates some of her memorable dishes.
