Film of old farming life being screened at the Memorial Hall, Much Marcle

SEE the mole catcher, the butter maker, the rabbit catcher and the calf that stole the bull when Fieldworks, a film of farming memories by Rural Media is screened at the Memorial Hall, Much Marcle tomorrow.

More than 50 people contributed their stories, ensuring that a record of agricultural life in the 1930s and 40s is preserved for posterity. It is a unique opportunity to revive old memories or see how others lived and a fascinating, educational, and enjoyable experience.

Tickets, £5 including refreshments, are available from Janet Chapman on 01531 660664. Proceeds are in aid of St Bartholomew’s Church.
