Quentin Letts signs new book

1:33pm Thursday 26th November 2009

QUENTIN Letts will be signing copies of his new book, Bog Standard Britain: How Mediocrity Ruined this Great Nation at the Ledbury Bookshop between 11am and 1pm on Saturday and at Ross Books, in Ross-on-Wye, on Saturday, December 5, from 11.30am to 12.30pm.

Following the publication last year of 50 People who Buggered up Britain, Quentin now denounces all those who have, over the past half-century, sought to deny the notion of inequality.

This time, his targets include ladettes, shaven-headed men, middle-class tattoo wearers and Jonathan Ross. Among those he stands up for are Simon Cowell and Hyacinth Bucket.

Quentin Letts, who lives with his wife Lois and three children near Ross-on-Wye, is the Daily Mail’s parliamentary sketch writer and was named political journalist of the year at the British Press Awards 2009.

Bog Standard Britain is published by Constable at £12.99.
