CHAMPAGNE & Shambles, Catherine Beale’s account of the rise and fall of the Arkwrights of Hampton Court, has just been published in paperback and she will be signing copies of her book in Border Books in Leominster tomorrow (Friday) from 1pm to 2pm and in Waterstone’s in Hereford on Thursday, November 19, between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
Johnny Arkwright inherited Hampton Court at the age of 24 and, through his letters, the author reveals how it felt to let such a rich inheritance go.
Catherine Beale is the author of the guide to Hampton Court, Herefordshire.
