Exhibition at Galanthus in Hereford features artists inspired by natural world

THE current exhibition at Galanthus features artists inspired by the natural world.

Sonia Rollo’s vibrant etchings stem from a childhood fascination as well as her biologist’s observations, while Andrew Waddington exhibits his much-loved lithographs and woodcut prints.

They are joined by ceramicists Amanda Brier and Patricia Kelly. Amanda’s start as a studio potter with Leach Pottery means her pieces are a meeting between some Bernard Leach aesthetics alongside her own characteristic ideas, while Patricia’s humorous pieces are observations of the rural environment and farming community.

Complementing the artists and ceramicists is Christine Kaltoft, a jeweller inspired by the energetic movements of hens she rescued from a battery hen farm who also displays framed etchings of her hens.
