POPULAR band Whalebone are performing at Ledbury’s Market Theatre as part of their 2010 The Gathering Tour, and are gearing up for an evening of virtuoso and exciting acoustic music on Saturday, March 27.
Whalebone’s music is a marriage of folk music and classic guitar rock played on acoustic guitars and fiddle, combining upfront spellbinding musicianship, infectious driving rhythms and exuberant presentation. The trio’s performances feature fiery and emotive original material, supercharged renditions of traditional music and wild re-workings of rock guitar classics played with dazzling virtuosity.
“We’re excited to be returning to Ledbury and playing at this beautiful and friendly theatre” says Whalebone frontman Steve Downs. “We’re really looking forward to a great night here.”
