Local mixed-voice choir, The Dolau Mixtures, performs for Music in New Radnor

ON Friday, February 12, Music in New Radnor present The Dolau Mixtures, a popular local mixed-voice choir led by Martin Howard.

The choir has a large repertoire which includes sacred and secular song from the 16th to the 21st centuries, folk songs from Europe, Africa and beyond, and they are equally at home with songs from the shows.

For this concert The Dolau Mixtures will be joined by Emma Powell, a young classical singer from Kington who will be performing solo as well as joining the choir for some of the evening.

Emma is currently studying at Lady Hawkins’ sixth form and is planning a career in music.

There will be cabaret seating, and please bring your own drinks, although glasses are provided.

The concert starts at 7.30pm in the Community Hall, Hall Lane, New Radnor.
