Berlin Philharmonic live on screen at Malvern Theatres on New Year's Eve

SIR Simon Rattle conducts one of the world’s finest symphony orchestras, The Berlin Philharmonic, in a live New Year’s Eve broadcast from the Berlin Philharmonie, to be projected onto the big screen at Malvern Theatres.

Sir Simon Rattle is joined by the breathtaking young pianist Lang Lang, named ‘hottest artist on the classical music planet’ by the New York Times.

Lang Lang will perform Rachmaninov’s ever-popular and hugely romantic Second Piano Concerto. The night is completed with music from Tchaikovsky’s magical ballet, The Nutcracker, to bring the holiday season to a fitting finale.

New Year’s Eve Gala broadcast from Berlin is on Thursday, December 31, at 4.15pm. Tickets, £15, under- 26, £8.
