Bronte’s talent is crystal clear

2:05pm Thursday 16th August 2007

THE current exhibition at School House Art and Framing in Leintwardine features new work from Bronte Woodruff, an artist well-known for her watercolours.

Included in the exhibition are a considerable number of her latest works of animals and landscapes of the local area.

Bronte (pictured) continually tries to express her art in different ways and by using different materials - her latest techniques involves the use of traditional Van Dyke Crystals, but in a very innovative way.

Widely used before the advent of modern dyes, these crystals dissolve in hot water producing a brown colour, the intensity of which can be controlled by dilution.

The exhibition runs until August 25 at The Gallery, in the High Street, Leintwardine, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10am to 5pm. For details, call Kim Smith on 01547 530504 or visit www.schoolhousecrafts.co.uk
