THE Malvern Music Experience offers two very different outdoor concerts this weekend as one of the biggest tribute bands of them all, the Bootleg Beatles, play on Friday, followed on Saturday by the well-known English Symphony Orchestra with A Tribute to Elgar.
To ensure an authentic Fab Four experience, concert-goers are encouraged to dig out their flares and hotpants to be in with a chance of winning the title of best-dressed 60s icon.
"We are delighted that they are able to find time in what is now a very busy schedule to play here at Malvern," says Sharon Gilbert, press officer for organiser, the Three Counties Agricultural Society.
On Saturday, the English Symphony Orchestra joins with forces with Fine Arts Brass, soprano Elizabeth McDonald and The Cotswold Male Voice Choir to perform a host of Elgar favourites and other popular classics. Compering the evening will be Matt Baker, best known as a former Blue Peter presenter, but also a veteran of many large-scale live concerts including proms from the Albert Hall.
