THIS year's group of students set new records at Bedstone College.

Staff in Bucknell saw 34.2 per cent of their A-level students achieve an A* or A grade, with 56.1 per cent gaining an A* to B.

"I am absolutely thrilled with the A-level results this year," said headmaster David Gajadharsingh.

"There has been a huge increase in the percentage of A* to B grades compared to previous years.

"This has meant that 80 per cent of our students have secured places at their first choice university and 100 per cent gaining places on courses of their choice.

"This is a wonderful achievement by any measure."
