ONE in five of all grades achieved by students at Whitecross this year was an A or A*.

And the headline figure of 55 per cent of students achieving five or more A* to C grades including English and Maths exceeds the Hereford school's target.

Loran Adcock, Ellie Bramhall, Molly Bufton-Stear, Felix Fuller, Adam Hizzey, Karya Sipahi and Olivia Williams all achieved seven or more A* or A grades.

Head teacher Denise Strutt said: “Everyone at Whitecross recognises the value of hard work and effort and these results show just what can be achieved.

"I am pleased that our results this year show that every student, no matter what their starting point, can achieve great things.

"I’d like to thank the staff, students and their parents for their commitment to the school and enabling students to progress with great results behind them.”
