HEREFORDSHIRE residents have just two weeks to sign-up to this year's Santa Run that will raise funds for Acorns Children's Hospice.

Anyone wishing to register can visit a special Acorns Santa Run stand in the Maylords Shopping Centre in Hereford on Saturday.

The Santa Run takes place at Hereford Cathedral at 11am on Friday December 7.

Fundraiser Sue Roberts, said: "Anyone wishing to find out more about the work of Acorns Children's Hospice in the area, and how they can help by registering for the Santa Run, can visit a special Acorns Santa Run stand in the Maylords Centre on Saturday.

"There are still plenty of places left for this fun run, where all participants will receive a Santa Suit. It's going to be a great event with lots of fun so please join us and help make Christmas extra special for life-limited children in the area."

Nick Collett, who appears in Snow White at the Courtyard Theatre and starts the run, said: "Acorns provide essential care and support to local families but relies heavily on fundraising to support its work. The Santa Run will be a great way to bring local people together in Santa Suits and jog a friendly course through Hereford town."

The Santa Run is suitable for children and adults, as well as wheelchairs and pushchairs.

All participants get a Santa suit on registration and are encouraged to raise funds to help support Acorns work with local children who are chronically ill. Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.

To register now, visit www.acorns.org.uk/santarun Or call: 01905 761220.
