WARTIME - The Royal British Legion Club has its second annual D Day afternoon, Sandbags and Sirens, on Saturday from 2.30pm. There will be a traditional tea served at 4pm. Other activities going on will include a number of Second World War military vehicles on display along with music of the era led by singalong stars Tony Sullivan and Lenny. Local soloist Lisa Beaumont will perform a number of songs throughout the afternoon. The bar will be open and period dress for the occasion is optional. Admission is free but donations will be welcome. read more
