BROOKES Derek Arthur On June 18th, 2017, peacefully at Lynhales Hall Nursing home, Lyonshall, Kington, following a long illness borne with great patience and dignity, Derek Brookes formerly of Castle Weir Farm, Lyonshall of New Barns Farm, Hilton, near Bridgnorth and of Walton Farm, Stottesdon, aged 82 years. The beloved husband of Betty, loving father of Tracey and Helen, father in law of David and Tony and dear grandad of Abbie and Greg. Much loved, Derek will be sadly missed by all his Family and Friends. Funeral Service at The Parish Church of St Peter and Apostle, Worfield, near Bridgnorth on Tuesday, July 11th, at 11 a.m., to be followed by a post-funeral reception at Worfield Cricket Club Pavilion. A private Interment will take place at Bridgnorth Town Cemetery later that day. Mourning dress optional. Family flowers only by request please but donations for 'The Alzheimer's Society' are being gratefully received for which purpose a collection box will be provided inside the Church Porch or online at www.perryandphillipsfunerals.com.
