A COMMUNICATIONS company from Hereford visited a technology fair held in Spain.

Global RadioData Communications Ltd (GRC), based at Wyevale Business Park in Wyevale Way, was invited to the event to demonstrate a range of deployable satellite solutions.

The company showcased its SCYTALE Lite, which can provide voice, internet and mobile connectivity within minutes of arrival in the most remote areas of the world.

The third United Nations Technology Fair was held in Valencia, with more than 100 exhibitors from 20 member states.

Atul Khare, UN under-secretary general for field support, opened the event by describing the new and complex challenges the UN faces around the world and the growing need for rapid, effective, life-saving technology to support peacekeepers.

Steve Slater, GRC’s operations director said: “Designed and manufactured locally in Hereford and Worcester, the GRC SCYTALE suite of capabilities show how innovative and agile cost-effective solutions from small businesses can support global organisations.

"Events like this facilitate face-to-face engagement with the key decision makers we wouldn’t normally get access to."
