POWER tools were stolen from a community based charity project in Ross-on-Wye.
Between 4pm on December 22 and 6.30am on December 23 a metal container belonging to the Hildersley Allotments Community Garden was broken into.
A Honda ride-on mower, a pump/ pumping machine, a Stihl brush cutter/ strimmer, a hedge trimmer and a lawnmower were stolen.
The Sir Grow-A-Lot project is located at the Model Farm, Hildersley and run by the charity EnviroAbility, which encourages residents to grow organic food.
General manager Dennis Humble said: "It is just a shame for such a positive community growing project."
It was set up three years ago with a lottery grant and anyone can get involved to grow their own organic produce. If you are interested call 01989 763388.
The organic food shop next door was also broken into and 24 pieces of poultry and gammon were stolen, as well as a sum of money.
