THE Christmas spirit arrived early at Broadfield Court Café and Vineyard in the name of charity.

Broadfield Court owner Alex James kindly held a weekend Christmas fair in support of Home-Start Herefordshire, and was pleased to donate £1000 to the local charity.

The historic venue welcomed over 30 local craft stalls and over 400 visitors. The event was accompanied by Bodenham Primary School and The Singing Doctors who both performed carols for the crowds.

Alex James is the president of the local charity that gives support and guidance to fragile and vulnerable families throughout the county. Alex said “It was my pleasure to hold an event in support of this amazing charity who have been helping hard-to-reach families in the county for 32 years, Home-Start brings a little hope to families who feel isolated and overwhelmed by the pressures of parenting.”

One of the stalls was held by the charity, selling pre-loved scarves and Christmas gifts, all donated by the dedicated volunteers of Home-Start Herefordshire which raised £243 which was a tremendous contribution to the overall sum raised.
