THE Knighton Macmillan Cancer support group held their annual strawberry tea at the church hall, Knighton last weekend. The event raised £312 including donations. Raffle winners were Liz George, Zara Hardwick, Enid Davies, Peter Medlicott, Sue Hayward, Ivy Rudge, Julia Roberts and Mary Wilding. Group member Jean Price thanked everyone for supporting them on the day all the helpers and all those who donated money, raffle prizes and other items for the event.
Chairman Liz George announced the final figure raised at the Macmillan walk in April as £1,744 and £506 was raised when the group provided the refreshments at the open gardens at Pontfaen House last month.
