THOUSANDS of people are expected to flock to Eastnor Castle this weekend for a country show.

The Knights of the Damned joustling team will be on display, as well as birds of prey flying displays, terrier racing, a goat show, John Cavana working dogs and a practical horse demonstration.

Charlie Owen, managing director of organisers Oakleigh Fairs, said: "We have been looking for the right venue in the area to launch a new show for this type for quite some time and Eastnor Castle ticks all the boxes in terms of access and profile.

"We are really looking forward to bringing the show there for the first time."

Other events on offer include a companion dog show, while there will also be besom broom making, weaving and pole latheing.

The show will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, with adult entry costing £7.50.
