PUPILS at Hereford Cathedral Junior School have started their own mini-businesses as part of a young enterprise initiative.
The children have attempted to buy merchandise then sell for a profit.
Some have made bracelets and book marks, while ice cream and Victorian style photographs have also been sold.
The 'fiver challenge', supported by Virgin Money, allows people to do something enterprising for a month with a £5 pledge.
The children at Hereford Cathedral Junior School managed to raise more than £100 in a week.
"The idea of the scheme is to show children how a basic business works and hopefully result in them making some money," said teacher Ian Barber.
"As a class we have decided to use part of our profits for a fun film and meal evening whilst also making a donation to two charities that our head boy and head girl are raising money for."
