THE Knighton Macmillan Support group held their annual charity walk on May 20. Although numbers of walkers were slightly down on last year, the ones who did take part raised hundreds of pounds for the cancer support charity. The walk started from the Knighton Hotel car park, then up Broad Street, along West Street and down by the Offa’s Dyke Centre to the River Teme following the river to Kinsley Road and then back to town. When they arrived in town, Jacqui and Gary Salt at the Horse and Jockey provided refreshments to all the walkers free of charge. On behalf of the group, chairman Liz George thanked everyone who took part, sponsored walkers, gave donation and the Horse and Jockey for the refreshments.
