A STUDENT at John Kyrle High School is flying the international flag. Beth Bushell, Year 12, has had three articles on her role as a UK Germany Youth Ambassador published on the UK German Connection website as part of their online magazine.
Beth has also applied for a scholarship for the German Embassy’s summer programme. This is a very prestigious role with many applicants from all over the UK, and if successful, Beth will spend a month taking part in linguistic and cultural activities all over Germany.
John Kyrle headteacher Nigel Griffiths said the school is very proud of Beth and is grateful to all her teachers for the continued support they offer her.
At a time when some schools are reducing the amount of modern foreign languages offered to students, John Kyrle has maintained its role as a specialist language college with French, German and Spanish taught at both GCSE and A Level.
