THIEVES tucked into turkeys this Christmas after breaking into a farm near Bromyard.
Police are appealing for information after eight packaged Kelly Bronze turkeys - believed to be worth a total of £800 - were taken from a property in Ocle Pychard on Sunday sometime between midnight and 6am.
Officers believe thieves accessed a refrigeration unit in one of the barns after gaining access through a gate at the rear of the yard.
Chris Ammonds, police spokesman, said: “The eight turkeys that have been stolen were each packed in their own individual box ready for cooking at Christmas.
“The turkeys were all Kelly Bronze birds and each box was labelled with this name.
“Six of the turkeys weighed 8kg and the other two weighed 9kg.
"Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious vehicles in the Ocle Pychard area over the weekend, or anyone who is offered the opportunity to buy any turkeys similar to the ones stolen from this farm."
Call 101 with information, quoting 176S 221213.”
