Assault in Ross-on-Wye

TWO men were assaulted in Ross-on-Wye on Saturday.

They were walking along Brookend Street just after 2am following a night out in the town when they were attacked by a group of men.

Both victims sustained a number of facial injuries which required hospital treatment.

Police are trying to establish whether the assault was linked to a minor altercation between the two men and a group in the King Charles II pub earlier in the night.

The main offender is described as being white, 5ft 8ins tall with very short shaved hair.

He was wearing a brown jumper and jeans and is believed to have run off towards the swimming pool.

Anyone with information can call Detective Constable Matt Ansfield at Hereford CID on 0300 333 3000, quoting reference 19-N-260113, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Ross is such a nice little town normally.
You wouldn't imagine there was such a turgid, seedy subculture going on underneath.
It reminds me of Royston Vasey.
