AN ATTACKER who caused actual bodily harm in an assault on a man in Hereford has been handed a community order by magistrates.
Richard Davies appeared before magistrates in Hereford for sentencing on April 9 after he pleaded guilty to one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and one count of assault by beating.
The court heard from prosecutor Lauren Millichip that the 39-year-old had assaulted a man and a woman, causing the man actual bodily harm, in an incident on July 28, 2023.

Davies, of Village Way in Bartestree, was handed an 18-month community order requiring him to attend 30 days of rehabilitation activities. He must pay compensation of £50 to the woman and £300 to the man.
Davies was further ordered to pay prosecution costs of £185 and a £114 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
His guilty plea was taken into account by magistrates when imposing his sentence.
